Product Description
Fire-red and gorgeous, the 1963 Ford Falcon Futura sparkling away in this 8x10 art photo isn't really a tease, but the car catches the eye like one with its clean lines and shining silver chrome. The bright red afterburner of a taillight, the focus of the photo, has the slightest of tail fins curving gracefully over it, a tribute to great cars of the past. The classic car's gleaming orange-red paint only highlights the circular chrome-crowned conical taillight. A solitary strip of chrome reaches outside the classic car photo's frame, bisecting the vermillion Futura's rear-quarter panel.

All of this evokes images from another time: cruising with other now-classic cars, drag racing, nights at the drive-in, burgers at the neon-bedecked diner. It was hard for me not to think about things like that, looking at and photographing this sharp Falcon and its great lines. It's details like the little fin and the taillight surrounded by rings of chrome that make vintage cars so great to me-the style, the attention to detail, the graceful touches. It's paying tribute to and highlighting such facets of vintage cars that keeps me taking photographs of them!

If you love classic cars as much as I do, be sure to take a look at my other vintage car photos in the "Classic Car Photo Art" section of my shop, where you'll find abstract and non-abstract photos of great cars.

Professionally printed with a white border on archival-quality 8x10 photo paper, the Falcon image itself measures 8-1/8 by just under 5-1/2 inches. I've found that the white border not only makes framing easier, it protects the image itself from accidental damage such as fingerprints. Interested in another size? Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
Even though the vintage Falcon Futura in this fine art photo had a 260ci V8, it was Ford's "economy car". Can you imagine? This vintage car looks better than the roller skates with windows we're being offered now!

(Yes, you can probably tell I'm a Detroit native raised on fast muscle cars with souped up V8s, can't you...?)
