Product Description
Stunning Columbine pattern 70s vintage fiestaware serving platter from Chance Bros and still in its original box. The company produced their Fiestaware range between 1950-1981 and Colombine was designed and produced exclusively for the Boots Chemist company in 1974.

The platter is a retro shaped squared oval and the pattern was screenprinted onto the reverse of the platter. The colors are fab retro green, orange and yellow - very 70s. Looks much better in person that I could capture with my camera.

Columbine was produced in three color ways and this is the orange, yellow option with gold gilt edges.

Condition of the platter is excellent with no chips, cracks and intact gilding. The box is aged and has yellowed some.

Measurements:
Length: just over 8.25in (21.3cm)
Width: 5.5in (14cm across the middle
Depth/Height: almost 0.5in (1cm)

Chance Bros closed their factory in 1981, after 150 years of glass production and the Fiestaware design was bought by Mr. Michael Joseph who continued operating using the original pioneering techniques under the banner of Fiesta Glass Ltd. The firm is now called Midlands Industrial Glass and still operates in Birmingham and Smethwick.

Trying to cost the shipping for more than one vintage item is impossible given the size/weight variations in items but I do combine shipping and refund any excess over $2 via Paypal.
