Carved serpentine (also known as new jade) gives these earrings an Asian aesthetic. The green squares of carved serpentine are topped by 4mm rounds of brick red poppy jasper, accented with tiny sterling silver beads. Sterling silver ear wires.

When I found these carved serpentine beads at a bead show, I snapped them right up! The carving is so unusual that I knew they would make really distinctive earrings. I especially love how they look with the brick red of the jasper.
