A striking blue and turquoise flower pendant is the focal point of this outstanding handmade necklace. Turquoise lampwork glass beads frame both the pendant and the two gorgeous rock crystal rounds.

The handmade pendant features a lovely floral patterned piece of Japanese Washi paper that has been sealed in the pendant with clear resin. The clasp is also handmade and has been placed toward the front and embellished with hand-wired iolite briolettes and Swarovski crystals.

Balancing the asymmetrical design are two gorgeous rounds of rock crystal. Both the crystal and the pendant are framed on either side by lampwork glass beads by Beads and Botanicals.

The necklace is 20 inches (50.8 cm)long. The pendant is 1.5 inches (3.81 cm) long.

This necklace was created as part of the Bead Soup Blog Party, hosted by Lori Anderson of Pretty Things. I was inspired by the beautiful handmade pendant and clasp that my Bead Soup partner, Elisabeth Auld, made. I loved designing my necklace using these components.
