Sterling silver earrings feature round 6mm deep purple amethyst beads and Hill Tribe leaf charms. Together they reminded me of grapes with grape leaves, so I used that theme in my wire wrapping. Notice the curved wire "vines".

The ear wires and head pins are sterling silver.

Hill Tribe silver is made in northern Thailand using traditional methods passed down through generations of tribal artisans. The silver content in Hill Tribe beads and pendants is typically 95-99%, higher than that of sterling (92.5%).

Earrings measure 1.5 inches from ear piercing to bottom of leaf.

My highly scientific technique of shopping is "OOH PRETTY!" and as a result, I sometimes end up with things that I have no idea how to use. The leaves were an impulse buy from my local bead shop.

Eventually it dawned on me: Grapes... amethyst beads nestled in a Hill Tribe silver leaf (okay, so that would be "grape - singular" but...).
