These earrings are made to look like those old ornaments and bring back memories of happy times and family.

The show stopper of these magnificently large earrings are hot pink fancy cut quartz. The earrings are entirely handmade by myself and I've added some clusters of blue flash moonstone with vesuvianite marquise as leaves to look like mistletoe. A long clear rock crystal quartz dangles from the bottom.The entire piece is oxidized and hand polished with steel wool to look antique.

The overall length of these earrings is 3 3/4 inch.

I found out I was going to be in a local magazine at Christmas time and that they wanted something Christmassy to shoot for the article. I brainstormed for a few days and remembered those old shiny Christmas ornaments we used to have when I was a kid and I told my Mom how ugly and old they were and we needed to get some shiny NEW ornaments for the tree. Slowly one by one I would accidentally "drop" those ornaments or blame it on the cat.

Now that I'm older I appreciate those old ornaments and missed them so much because they reminded me of home that I've been scouring local antique stores and collecting them for my own tree.
