This baby raccoon lost her mother in a fight with another raccoon family. We left her there until dawn hoping for the mother to return to fetch her. Once it was daylight, we could see she had an injury, so she was taken to the local wildlife shelter where she was treated and I got to see her released as an adult several months later.
