Frost patterns on our Main St apartment window. I was lucky to live in this erratically heated, cold damp apartment for the whole of the worst winter Colorado has seen in a decade or two. Lucky, because every morning I was greeted with these wonderful patterns on my windows. We have since moved on from the apartment, and forgotten how miserable it was, but through these photographs, the beauty still remains.

The mid-morning light coming through the window and frost in this shot makes for brilliant blues and silvers. This shot is deliberately underexposed to allow the details in the frost to remain, while turning the colors in the background into rich blues and blacks.
