Hand-cut cabochon by the artist set in hand forged Sterling silver.

The Montana agate is usually a creamy light yellow to almost clear color with embedded moss structures in varying shades of brownish red to black. Most of these Montana agates are found in gravel deposits from the Pleistocene age (10,000 - 1,6000,000) in the area of the Yellowstone River and its tributaries.

This is a one of a kind (ooak) art piece. I personally hand cut the gemstone, then hand forged the metalwork to take advantage of the beauty of the stone. The back is open to allow light to travel through the crystal (photographed with natural back-lighting in front and back views).
