The pendant is composed of a gorgeous natural white howlite heart which has been completed with a handmade silver wire wrapped bail accented by a pink rhodonite bead. The pendant was then strung on a necklace made from more pink rhodonite, white howlite, pink crystal and glass beads creating a pretty, feminine piece of jewelry.

The pendant drops just over 2.5in (6cm) from the necklace which is just over 17in (43cm) in length. It closes with a secure sterling silver spring ring clasp.

Howlite is one of those stones that is frequently dyed to look like other stones (like lapis lazuli or turquoise). I think dying this stone is kind of sad since by itself it is so beautiful with its white base and gray markings.

Howlite is known as a calming stone, helping to quiet the mind. Rhodonite is said to assist in balancing emotions, healing emotional trauma and nurturing love.
