DETAILS: An amazing, glamorous and fabulous 1960s sweater shell, hand embellished in Hong Kong, a place justly famed for their beadwork in the 60s! The top is intended to fit rather loosely and would typically be worn with a pencil skirt or tight toreador pants on the bottom. It has a rolled standaway collar. It is completely coverd with black and silver sequins in a checkerboard pattern with glossy black beads outlining each square. The collar is covered in black sequins and edged in beads. Perfect for cocktails with the Nascar crowd!

FABRIC/COLORS: The base of the dress is wool knit, black. It is fully lined in a black lightweight fabric that feels like silk. The outer surface is covered in black and silver sequins along with black glass beads.

TAGS: No maker's tag, but does have a tag that says it was "Hand Decorated in Hong Kong"

CLOSURES: Long metal zipper down the back, hooks and eyes at the back of the collar so it will lay correctly.

CONDITION: I find a small frayed hole in the silk lining in the upper front of the sweater - see closeup. There is no visible evidence from the outside of the sweater I do not find and stains, holes or tears in the top, and overall, the sequins look completely intact. I found one area with a few missing beads, along the edge of the collar at the left shoulder - see closeup. I would speculate that the former owner might have worn a shoulder bag that weakened some of the stitching there. No other issues noted.
