This is Leon, a cute little lion wearing shorts with braces, designed by Rosalie Quinlan.
As usual with Melly & Me patterns, the instructions are clear and easy-to-follow. This is currently the most popular toy pattern I stock and is such fun to make. It would make a lovely, safe gift for a young child.

Completed size: approx 22 (56cm)

Requirements:
50cm (20) yellow fabric for body
30cm (12) x 60cm (24) orange fabric for mane
30cm (12) teal fabric for pantaloons
scrap of black and white felt
scrap of plain red fabric
20cm (8) x 3-cm (12) red spot fabric for tummy, paws and ears
Polyester toy fill
6 strand embroidery floss in red, black and white
6 medium size red buttons
45cm (18) elastic (1cm/0.5 wide)
30cm (12) think woven fusible interfacing
30cm (12) thin fusible batting
