The three shiny dangling red chile peppers that vary in length from 2.5 (62.mm) to 3" (76mm), as well as green leaves, coarsely textured green beads, and whimsical ladybugs. The entire necklace, even the ladybugs, is an original handmade "from scratch" design using artist-quality polymer clay, liquid polymer clay and green artistic wire.

The realistic veins on the leaves were made by rolling real leaves onto the clay. The veins were then highlighted with a thin wash of acrylic paint. The peppers received numerous coats of a water-based varnish, which makes them really SHINE!

The green beads were made by hand from three tints of green colors and then textured by carefully rolling the un-cured bead on very coarse sandpaper.

The necklace is 17.5" (44.5cm) in length with a 2" (5 cm) necklace extender. Length can be customized if requested.

The necklace arrives wrapped in tissue paper nestled in a colorful chili pepper-themed cookie tin that is placed inside a padded mailer.

This necklace pays tribute to the Arizona red chile pepper and my appreciation of chili and Southwestern cuisine. I love the way the dangling peppers move when it's worn. It always draws a lot of attention when I wear it to my favorite Mexican restaurants.
