Are you waiting for a knight in shining armor? This cartilage earring would serve you well in the meantime. ;)

This is a single earring or ear-piece that connects from the earlobe to the upper cartilage of the ear, with a pierced post earring on either end. Strung between the posts are two chains in blue and silver.

(Don't have your cartilage pierced? I can make them with non-pierced cuffs, too! See info about this below.)

The ear-piece is made using enameled copper wire in blue and bright aluminum wire (the silver color). I twist and cut the wire for the earrings myself, so there are some places in the copper rings where the copper color shows through where it was cut. It isn't very noticeable, though, but this is just a heads up so you know.

At the end of the ear-piece are a pewter knight (riding a horse) charm and a blue glass bead. The earring parts are two silver-colored metal post earrings. The entire ear-piece is 3 3/4" (9.5 cm) long from top earring ball to the bottom of the knight charm (this is the shorter chain measurement- the other chain dangles lower), and is 2 1/4" (5.7 cm) long from earring post to earring post.

When I saw these knight charms I just knew that I had to make an earring in the colors of the paladin my fiancé plays in D&D.

I came up with the idea for this style earring because I have multiple piercings in both ears and wanted something uniquely fantasy for them- what I ended up with was this style of elven/fae earring.
