Wouldn't you like to own your own wench? She is always prepared with a tankard of ale and a saucy smile, and she comes well-accessorized and ready for the Renfaire. Her name is Old English for "winsome maiden" (at least as far as I can tell- I am still learning).

She is crocheted entirely from acrylic yarn and is from my own pattern. Her eyes are blue and embroidered on. The pupils of her eyes and her mouth are painted on with acrylic paint mixed with fabric medium (this mix creates fabric paint). Her hat is adorned with green ribbon and a blue and green crocheted flower (with blue glass teardrop beads sewn onto each petal). On her belt are a tiny pouch (it actually works; it snaps shut and you could stick something tiny [dime-sized] in there) and a tankard made from silver polymer clay. She also is wearing dark green tights, tan shoes, and has a blue necklace that ties on.

Note: her hair is only attached at the very top of her head so that it can lay flat under the hat. You may need to brush it out with your fingers to get it to lay right.

The hat, shoes, necklace, and belt (as well as the pouch and mug) are completely removable (see 4th picture).

This plushie is just over 12" (30.5 cm) tall and has an armspan of 9" (22.9 cm). Her hat is 6 1/2" (16.5 cm) across from one side of the brim to the other.

I love to crochet plushies and I love dressing up for the Renaissance faire, so making this doll was a fun combination of the two.
