This steampunk inspired black and silver princess length chainmaille necklace is one of my favorites. The rings I used to make the chainmaille are aluminum (black anodized aluminum and a silver colored bright aluminum) so it's really lightweight. Dangling from the necklace are a large metal key pendant (silver colored) and two black metal chains.

The necklace is 16" (40.6 cm) long. It closes with a lobster clasp and has an extra 1" (2.5 cm) silver-colored metal chain so the necklace can be adjusted larger or worn looser. The width of the chainmaille is about 3/4" (1.9 cm), but the triangle shape in the center is longer (the maille part is 1 1/2" [3.8 cm]).

Note: I have a small neck so to get the necklace to the length I like, I clasped it further in on the chainmaille; this works for making it shorter but if you'd like this shorter than 16" , let me know and I can remove some of the chainmaille to make it shorter for you. I can also make it a bit longer should you want that.
