This scrunchie is authentic dead head gear.
Bought in 1989 at a Grateful Dead concert (Gerry Garcia Era - before the kids knew him as a Ben & Jerry's flavor) in the parking lot of the Mellon Arena in Pgh, PA

It matched a truly fab hippie jacket i had bought but have since lost.

I have no other information about it because, well, it was a Grateful Dead concert and I just remember getting there.

At my age now, scruchies, I believe are illegal, and I just can't see giving it to my daughter. It seems wrong somehow.

Would be a cute bracelet too...
