Finding this brooch was a walk down memory lane for me. I gave pins exactly like this to my mother and grandmother for Christmas in the late 1970s. This vintage brooch is in the shape of a maple leaf, colored for springtime, in rich shades of iridescent green enamel. The leaf surface has a pattern of veins. A bit of the enamel bleeds over to the edge next to the stem. This piece measures 2.5" by 1.75".
