Product Description
Damascening is the process of applying metal on metal to produce decorative designs. The art was in use in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, and has been praccticed in Spain for centuries. It became popular in Europe around the 15th Century.

These dainty clipon earrings are diamond-shaped, with a primarily black matte background having a T pattern in a copper color accented by gold tracery. They measure 1/2" on each side, and date probably from the early 1950s.
