From this icy beauty. Cool watercolor and printmaking combined in this delicate piece. I started with a gouache (opaque watercolor) painting on acid free watercolor paper create a varied background to add block printed layers. The woodgrain pattern is easy to see and adds extra detail and beauty, the finishing touch.

Artists have produced miniatures for trade or self-promotion in many eras and places, and the current trend is thus part of this larger context. Originally traded these beautiful pieces of original art are now available to collectors to purchase. The only rule for these cards is their size (2.5 x 3.5 inches, the same as baseball and playing cards).

Mine are always original one of a kind pieces, never reproductions. As with all my work these cards come signed and numbered one of a kind on the back. They are cased in a rigid archival plastic case for protection.
