Handmade brass and sterling silver Egyptian inspired stylized lotus earrings are bold and beautiful . In ancient Egypt the lotus was a natural symbol for the sun and rebirth. Forged from brass sheet these earrings have been extensively hammered for a wonderful texture and polished to a satin sheen. A truly unique ear wire and closure are made of 18 gauge sterling silver wire. The ear wires work by way of spring tension, to open - push down gently and slide out of loop, open slightly to slide into piercing and push under loop. Earrings measure 1.75 or 3.81cm from the top and 1.75 or 3.81cm wide.
