Fine silver plated copper wire is used to create a frame with spring tension to support a wire wrapped coil, Swarovski Crystal Components, and one of my art glass "Lace" beads! Closure for the pin is ornamented with another Swarovski Crystal ornament. Length of the pin is 4 3/4 inches in length. All metal in the composition is tarnish resistant and the design will stay beautiful for many years!

All wearable art inspires me. I'm particularly fond of "Fibula" pins. It allows the designer to collect favorite beautiful items for a collage of special treats! I am particular fond of the "Lace" style lampwork beads that I make. I begin by forming them as transparent teardrop shaped beads and then with a very thin stick of glass, right in the edge of the flame, begin painting the surface lace decoration. One bead might take 30 minutes to an hour to create. In this case the transparent glass is a champagne color and the lace is ivory. All metal in the composition is tarnish resistant and the design has long enduring quality. All of my lampworked beads are carefully kiln annealed as well.
