This is a one of kind piece of turquoise seaglass that is very rare to find. Likely from an old vase that has been tumbled for many decades based on the color and rounded edges.

It is displayed on a beautiful sterling bail that lets the glass shine through.

- A nice 1.2 mm silver plated bead chain is included with the piece (see last photo for chain included with piece).

Note: As I just added this chain, the original photo includes the recommended sterling silver chain (upgrade option) which also compliments the piece. You can purchase sterling silver chains on my web site as well for very competitive prices if you prefer sterling (see chains section)

Monterey Bay Seaglass Jewelry is durable and wears well with good care. As with all fine jewelry, we recommend taking your jewelry off before showering or swimming and always before sleeping.

Gently washing your jewelry with warm water and liquid dish soap will help to prevent tarnish build up on the silver and the sea glass. Also, if stored, ideally keep your sterling silver jewelry stored in an airtight bag (such as zip lock) and out of the sun. I use Wrights Silver Cream to remove tarnish and clean the sea glass. It is a gentle foaming silver cleaner that is safe to use with sea glass. Make sure you rinse your jewelry well after cleaning and blot it dry with a soft wash cloth. You can find it at many grocery or hardware stores and on Amazon.

Here are cautions on other products sometimes used.
o Silver dips such as Shine Brite will remove tarnish from the silver but may damage other components so only use this with caution. If your jewelry contains any components that have silver with a patina finish, silver dips will likely remove the patina. Silver dips will also damage the luster on pearls, abalone and other natural stones and should not be used with these.
o Silver pastes are not recommended as they tend to leave a residue in the nooks and crannies of the sea glass and wire-work.
o Polishing cloths are handy to use on simple things like jump rings, but are difficult to use on small silver components and can leave smudges on the sea glass and your hands (they will also remove a patina) .

Keeping your glass clean-gently wash in warm sudsy water and dry. If you desire, you can use baby or mineral oil to deepen the color of your sea glass and reduce the frostiness. This is a personal choice. If you do this rinse the glass and blot any excess oil with a soft cloth.

If you have any further questions on cleaning or care for your jewelry feel free to email me.
