One of the most memorable natural events I have ever seen is a group of birds migrating one year when I was going down to California by car. There were literally hundreds of birds on both sides of the highway, in giant flocks. Fortunately my husband was driving or we might have had a problem - I couldn't take my eyes off of them! That is the inspiration for the Migration Guitar Strap, shown here in pink and antique brown.

The strap adjusts from 45 to 58 inches, and is 2.5 inches wide. Because of the adjustment of this strap, it can be used for a guitar, bass, banjo or dobro! There are strap pin holes at each end, and I will include some leather lace so that you can attach it to your instrument if you don't have two pins (so, neck of dobro or bass, or for lacing it to the banjo).

I start with a tooling leather leather then cut, brand, paint, and dye it, and then apply a protective coat to keep it safe from the elements. Because I use a thick tooling leather, it will soften up quickly but maintain it's shape and will last for many years (I've seen ones 40 years old with life still left in them made from the same type of leather). All sides of the strap have been dyed and protected, too, so the dye won't redeposit on clothes or instruments.
