This beautiful hand thrown pitcher is exceptionally heavy and must have held alot (12 cups) of some GOOD stuff!!

I have chilled it in the summer in the refrigerator for lemonade, but bet it could be slowly heated to handle warm drink too. The lines are so natural and the color is perfect for the style and design.

Help me out. Stoneware pitcher really old and has numbers 232 on base. Is this yellow ware? I have been unable to get this piece identified.

There are a few specks of glaze holes; a white spot in the glaze from firing, otherwise it is in excellent shape. I have barely cleaned it, and handle with care.

The piece is very heavy @ 4 lbs, 10 oz , holds 12 cups of liquid. It is 8 1/2" high x 5 1/4" mouth, x 26 " circumference x 5 1/2" base.

Please let me hear from you folks that are experts in this field. I love this piece sitting with the old crock mixing bowls in the kitchen.

I have this same pitcher, also in excellent condition and would like to know more about it's origin. It has 232 on the base. I have searched the internet and cannot find much. I don't want to sell; but would love to know what it's worth. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
