DEER ANTLER AND RABBIT FUR BASKET

This is a one-of-a-kind basket. I have use a coconut shell for the base of this basket. Grapevine from my neighbors yard was used for the handle. Deer antler, real, not imitation was used along with legal turkey feathers. Rabbit* fur was used and is meant to be spread around the base of this basket enhancing the full effect that was to be displayed in this piece of art. As with all my original pieces, this basket was created only when it was time to do so. I work in the traditional way in that only when it is the proper time to create a certain item, I do so. I do not mass product my wares. This makes my work unique. This basket comes from a smokeless environment. It is a: Made in Michigan, USA Product.

*All animal products used in my artwork were used for food and not sport hunting. In the Indian community when using fur, antlers and feathers, it shows that the animal is honored for its sacrifice so we could survive another day.
