These handmade cuff links feature a womens specific design, sterling silver heart on a bronze square, chased ray design along the perimeter together, and a brushed finish that brings out a perfect fusion of bronze and silver shine. The squares were sawed by hand from 20 gauge bronze and the hearts from 18 gauge sterling silver. The sterling silver heart was then soldered to the bronze backing with a acetylene torch and sterling silver solder. I created a ray design by hammering a chasing tool and stamped a star in each of the four corners. Since curvature adds depth while creating highlights and shadows from light reflecting off the curved surface, I dapped and domed the metals on a steel block before soldering the pure bronze links to the design. Unlike glued cuff links that tend to degrade and fall apart, my soldered cuff links will remain together and beautiful for many years to come. The design work was finished with a patina for contrast and the metal surfaces were burnished to a satin polish with a rich glow.

The squares measure 17.6mm (.7 in) in length and the links are a standard size. The hearts can be personalized with a monogram initial by writing your wishes in the check out notes or sending me a contact email.
