Dark Orange Chalcedony Necklace Sterling Silver Handmade

This handmade necklace features glowing deep orange chalcedony stones. I carefully wrapped each stone to a length of sterling silver rolo chain, using fine sterling silver wire.

The stones literally glow, as can be seen in some of pictures. It's as though there is a bright fire burning from within. As is often true with fine chalcedony, the color changes in different light and different angles. You will catch shades of tangerine orange, caramel, and the stunning fiery orange that I was able to capture with my camera.

The chain is a medium weight rolo chain, one of my favorites. Its simple design allows the stones to be the highlight of the necklace, while it provides beauty and strength. For extra security, I wrapped the sterling silver lobster claw clasp and ring to the ends of the chain.

I have added a 2.5" chain extension, ending with a sparkly sterling silver bead, making the necklace adjustable to accommodate different neck sizes, as well as different necklines.

A NOTE ABOUT CHALCEDONY: Chalcedony can be sensitive to light and may fade if exposed for long periods of time. When not being worn, please store your chalcedony jewelry in a jewelry box, drawer, or other dark place.

The Chalcedony briolettes vary in size, but average 10mm
Sterling Silver Chain = 16.5" including clasp
Extension chain = 2.5"
