Handmade Orange Sunstone Pendant Necklace with 14KT Rose Gold Filled Wire Wrapping and Chain

Copper schiller makes this large smooth handmade sunstone pendant glow as though it's on fire! The stone is large, chubby, and beautifully wrapped in 14KT rose gold filled wire. The creamy rosy color of the wire is stunning against the rust and orange of the sunstone.

This stone came from a strand of sunstone that I found at a gem show two or three years ago. I was walking out of the show, having spent my entire budget for the day, when this splendid strand of fiery gemstones practically grabbed me! I picked them up, touched them, held them up to the light, wrapped them around my wrist, and was heartbroken that I couldn't afford them. I put them down and walked on past. Then I turned around, grabbed them, and pulled out the plastic, which is something I almost never do! I never regretted it! This particular stone is one of the last ones I have left that is this large. I deliberately held on to it for a long time, not wanting to part with it. But eventually my fingers couldn't stand it any longer, and had to get busy with the wire. The result is a simple, eye catching pendant that will turn any day into a celebration.

The pendant is on a 14KT rose gold filled chain.

Sunstone changes colors at different angles and in different light, as I've illustrated in the photos.

It should be noted that gold filled wire is NOT gold plated, and the gold won't rub off. Gold fill is a beautiful, affordable, alternative to 14KT gold, and given proper care, will last a lifetime.
