Chunky Aqua Ancient Roman Glass Earrings with Sterling Silver Wire Wrapping are as beautiful as they are unique.

Bold pieces of ancient Roman glass are the focus of these handmade artisan earrings. The two pieces are unique and don't match, but they compliment each other so beautifully that I couldn't resist pairing them up. One piece has a lot of wonderful calcification which has formed after centuries of being buried, while the other has more transparency. These beads vary slightly in color, but both are what I would call a beautiful Caribbean green. They will be stunning with all shades of green and aqua, purple, black, white, and earth tones. They could easily become your favorite "go to" accessory!

Interesting shapes, beautiful shades of aqua, and an incredibly rare bit of history make these earrings must-haves for anyone who loves to be different! Earthy, rare, and organic, these earrings are truly one-of-a-kind.

This ancient Roman glass was discovered by excavators in Northern Afghanistan in the market place of a city that had been buried for hundreds of years. The glass is between 900-1200 years old, and I swear to you, when I hold them in my hand, I find myself visualizing life as it was 1,000 years ago in lands I've never been to, and probably never will. "Mesmerizing" is a good word to describe how these rare ancient pieces effect me!

* Glass = 10x13mm and 12x13mm (these are approximate measurements due to variances depending on where I put the gauge.)

I've loved ancient glass for many years, and was recently presented with the opportunity to buy several amazing strands at a beautiful price! My heart practically jumped out of my chest with excitement!

Rather than price my pieces at the actual retail value of the glass, I'm pricing it based on what I actually paid. It's my hope that fans of this type of glass will be able to own a piece of ancient history. I'll be adding more ancient glass jewelry over the coming months.
