Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

Artist Mark Gunderson enjoyed traveling abroad. This painting was completed after a 6 month tour in Antartica where we worked as a carpenter for the National Science Foundation. He perceived this image from viewing a stone under a magnifing glass. The multifaced veins and mineral layers were enhanced by his memory of stark sunlight behind glacier mountains and the purity of white barren snow.
