Mermaids have been enchanting sailors and others along the water for centuries. In some stories they are evil creatures who lure sailors to their doom. In others, they are beauties of the deep, falling in love with men and sometimes transforming to be human.

In reality, mermaids are gentle but vain creatures, who like to have a good laugh. So when I mentioned to a few of the mermaids I'm friends with the fact that I sell troll, fairy, and dragon snot, they immediately offered up some of their own.

They told me it that those who consume it will gain the ability to breathe underwater for a period of time, but I'm not certain if they were joking with me or not.

The snot has been preserved in small bottles, decorated in the mermaid style, and wire-wrapped for hanging.
