Adorn the lobes of your ears with these classically designed earrings for a unique winter holiday look!

In an attempt to best show the translucent quality of the frosted hoops, I have included photos of the earrings on black and gray backgrounds.

I took common acrylic plastic and transformed it into uncommon frosted hoops. Then I added a gleaming metal-colored hematite bead in the center. The frosted hoops hang from my own hand-formed solid brass ear wires.

Earrings: Hoops measure 1" around. Total length from the top of the ear wire is about 2".

I was introduced to acrylic plastic during a metal arts course when I was in college. I made a round acrylic lid to fit a round metal box that I had created. The box turned out great, but not so for the lid. I was not deterred. Since that class I have been playing with acrylic plastic and have grown to really love the material.
