This encaustic painting is 6" x 4" (15 cms x 10 cms)
and is shown with a black mount measuring 8" x 6" for reference only. It would look great in a simple frame or mounted on some board.

Encaustic art is created using beeswax which has been melted and worked with heated tools to create individual effects. To protect the wax surface this painting has been painted with a wax sealer to stop it scratching.

I have tried to take the photographs to display the pieces as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary between monitors.

I sat a looked out over the calm lagoon and then caught the strange light as the thunderous clouds whisked over dragging the storm away. The sky still looked angry in the distance but hopefully the storm had finished raging itself and was now worn out and ready to depart as quickly as it had arrived.
