Product Description
Chinese turquoise in a teardrop-shaped nugget. These are clearly hand-carved and some have areas where, rather than make the piece smaller, the worker left "raw" places alone.

Some people find the more natural, rugged look to be a pleasant change from machine made perfection, while others do not care for it. We can accomodate both kinds of people here, so let us know if you have a preference.

This pendant may be used as a pendulum by simply attaching the clasp to the wire loop.

Turquoise is a copper-bearing mineral. It was first discovered in Turkey, after which it is named. Ancient Greek and Egyptian pieces have been discovered in tombs and show that turquoise was considered a protective stone. In the Middle Ages it was believed to make women virtuous and loyal.

Each piece is unique, but they are approximately 1" long, rounded teardrop shapes.

The cord is colored twisted polyester or black waxed cotton, with metal crimp ends and a spring ring clasp. They are about 18" long.

Please state your preference of cord color (if you have one). Otherwise, I will just choose whatever comes to hand.

I also have rat tail in various colors. Let me know if there is a certain color you need for ritual purpose, etc.

Also if you would like a longer cord so you can slip it over your head, I can do a 30" cord with sliding knots.
