A rectangle of sterling silver is stamped with MACH (or the text of your choice) and then riveted to 18 gauge (1mm) pure copper that measures 1/2" wide. The copper is hammered on the surface and edges, then formed in an oval, just like your wrist. The bracelet is then given a patina that will darken with age into a lovely caramel-y brown. The bracelet is 6" long with a gap of a little over 1" and will fit most women's wrists. It can be gently adjusted by bending slightly to make it easy to put on and take off and comfortable to wear. The bracelet is polished with a microcrystalline wax to seal and help maintain brightness. Some notes about copper: Some people experience discoloring of the skin when wearing copper. This especially occurs when sweating. Many have said that when this happens it diminishes over time. Copper is very easy to clean, even with normal household items, such as rubbing with ketchup and rinsing clean. You can also use vinegar and salt or lemon juice and salt.
