Please contact me for timeframe from creation to shipping, before purchase, because my studio is in a mess from a recent move and we are having to build shelves in order to unpack my supplies and tools.

These journals are made for sketching and writing, because the pages are not sized (a gelatin treatment to prevent bleed through caused by markers or painting).

Each folded journal measures approximately 3 x 4 inches and has about 30 pages or more depending on the size of archival paper available. The paper will have a slight tooth perfect for sketching or writing with pencil, pen, colored pencils or any other drawing media. *not intended for painting.*

The small size is perfect for dropping into a bag or pocket for the unexpected random thought, notes, or just doodling. Be prepared to turn heads, because of the uniqueness of the covers. People will want to know where you found your journal.

The front and back hard covers of the journals will have a polymer clay abstract painting or solid colors made with your favorite colors; each one is unique. The closure is a leather lacing with embellishments consisting any of the following: beads, polymer beads, polished stones, copper wire, copper wire cages, copper wire beads, and/or sterling silver filled wire.

Contact me (the artist) and I will handcraft a small sketch/writing journal for you or someone special. This would make a great gift for a beloved family member, for the love of your life to show how special they are, or a best friend to let them know you are thinking of them.
Maybe you need something special for yourself that will last, for many, many years, even after the pages are full.

I personally enjoy rereading my journals. I use them to jog my memory of certain events and some of my writings are quite humorous to read years later. I also use some of mine to plan designs for journal covers.

There are many uses for a journal. Recording experiences while traveling, daily events, planning out ideas, making lists, recording special family events to be handed down to future generations, for a first time mother to record her nine month journey, for sketching, or just doodling. The uses are just as varied as we are.
