Product Description
My Bookhouse, Volume Five, "From The Tower Window" was copyrighted 1921 and is in a green hardcover binding with some wear on the corners and a few small rips inside. Considering it is almost 100 years old, I would say this antique book is in good shape. Written inside the cover is "Please return this book to Thomas, William & Charles Thatcher".

From The Tower Window

And now within the old gray tower
We've climbed the winding stair,
And look out over all the earth
From topmost window there.

Far stretches all the world away,
And naught shuts out the sky,
And knights and maids and all of life
Go marching, marching by.

This book, Volume Five, From The Tower Window, features wonderful illustrations, stories and poems of knights and Vikings, pirates and kings by such authors as Alfred Tennyson, Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott, Woodrow Wilson, Joyce Kilmer and John Greenleaf Whittier, just to name a few. Fascinating to read, hard to find. I also have Volume Six available for sale.

The 6 volume set was published by The Bookhouse for Children Publishers in Chicago and edited by Olive Beaupre Miller (1883 - 1968) She was an American author, publisher and editor of children's literature and received her B.A. from Smith College in 1904.
