Flow Blue 1897 Ridgway Pottery Antique Large Rimmed Soup or Salad Bowl, 'Dinan Antique Roses'

Flow Blue roses - oh! So very lovely!

This is porcelain at its most beautiful - the elegance of pattern and styling, the intricate Victorian workmanship realized in scrumptious indigo blues, creamy white, and gold.

A gorgeous display piece, a lovely low centerpiece for your table - this Flow Blue large-rimmed soup or salad bowl was manufactured by Ridgway Pottery at the end of the 19th century and the pattern is 'Dinan'.

The beautifully delicate rose design is rich in blues and creamy white. With a luscious gold edging, the look is elegant and timeless.

This bowl is well marked on the reverse with both under-glaze hallmark and incised number.

The plate is in wonderful antique condition and measures 9" (23 cm) at its scalloped edge's widest point. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or restorations and no visible use marks. The plate bears the stilt marks on the reverse and the gilt edging shows minimum wear.
