Vintage 1983 Kay Nielsen Fairy Tale Lithographs From East of the Sun and West of the Moon

A luscious paper featuring two works by Kay Nielsen, gleaned from a damaged a 1983 reference book on children's book illustrations.

Both prints are from the beautiful story, East of the Sun and West of the Moon and were included in the 1914 volume, Tales From the North. The first is captioned ~

"Well, mind and hold tight by my shaggy coat, and then there's nothing to fear, said the Bear, so she rode a long, long way"

The reverse side is a romantically dramatic illustration captioned ~

"Tell me the way, then, she said, and I'll search you out"

The heavy two-sided paper measures a 8.25" x 11" (21x28 cm) and both prints are enormously frame-worthy. There are no tears, folds, creases, or marks ~ altogether a gorgeous page.
