Wrap this bold and chunky natural agate and jade necklace around your neck and you're sure to be noticed. The colors are gorgeous. The focal gemstones are natural agate and the banding is beautiful in rust, green, white, gray and tan. These gemstones measure 35mm, 1.5 inches. Accented with jade gemstones that measure 10mm, 3/8 inch. This is a solid necklace.

The necklace measures 19 inches in length and closes with a decorative S-hook silver clasp.

Agate is a form of chalcedony.

Agate is named after the river Achates in Greece, where it was discovered and named by Theophrastus in ancient times, in about the 3rd to 4th centuries BC. There are many varieties of agate that can be found throughout the world, some which exhibit beautiful colors, banding, and quartz-lined cavities.

Metaphysical Properties: Agate is a stone of balance, precision, perception and eliminates negativity.

I used a heavy wire and heavy sterling silver crimps for strength.
