Lacy Bobbles Cowl is an original PlanetJune Accessories crochet pattern by June Gilbank.

I designed this cowl with a lacework pattern that isnt too open, so you can pull it up to cover your head to stay warm, or let the layers of lace pool around your neck.

Its worked in the round, which means theres no need to stitch it together at the end, and the stitch pattern has a clever almost-invisible seam built right into each round.

My lace patterns are designed to be worked with normal-sized hooks into the spaces between stitches, which means that, after the foundation row, theres no hunting for those tiny fine loops to work into, and they are a pleasure to work.

Size: Finished cowl measures 21 circumference x 17 length unblocked; 22 x 19 blocked. Pattern includes instructions for resizing the length and width of the cowl.

Difficulty: easy/intermediate

Yarn: approx 400m lace weight yarn
Sample uses 48g Diamond Luxury Collection Baby Alpaca Lace in #2020 (Burgundy)

Hook: US H / 5mm and US I / 5.5mm crochet hooks

Optional: blocking wires and/or rustproof pins, and a surface for blocking
