A crochet amigurumi alpaca pattern.

Alpaca is an original crochet pattern from the Natural Fibres collection by June Gilbank.



Pattern includes full instructions to make your own amigurumi alpaca.



Yarn: worsted weight yarn in any natural colour (brown, cream, black, beige, etc). Alpaca yarn adds to the realism, but is not required!



Hook: US E / 3.5mm



Size: approx 8″ long by 8.5 tall



(Note: the dark brown alpaca in these pictures is smaller as it was made using handspun alpaca yarn, which was finer than the worsted weight yarn recommended for the pattern)

I went to a local alpaca farm last year, and bought some handspun yarn made from one of their alpacas, who I got to meet at the time! I decided that the best thing I could do with the yarn would be to make a mini-replica of the adorable alpaca whose fleece became my yarn, and this is the result!
