Swedish Lapland Bracelet, Red Reindeer Leather and Pewter

Product Description

This bracelet is made with lovely soft red reindeer leather the color of bright winter berries

Pewter wire is carefully braided and sewn onto a reindeer leather band. The fastening is a lovely little button made from reindeer antlers which are shed during the Spring.

Silver (4%) is added to the pewter wire to prevent the metal losing its patina.

Width: 3/8" 0.8cm

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

When the last of scarlet berries disapear from the rowan trees, winter is truly on it´s way. The first snowy days bring flocks of bullfinches with their bright red plumage. A sight to warm the heart and soul on the coldest of days. At Yuletide in Sweden it is the tradition to leave a wheat sheave out to feed these most welcome, colorful birds.
