Product Description
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING, UNIQUE AND STUNNING BEAUTIFUL ESTATE PIECES THAT I HAVE "EVER" FOUND - BAR NONE!

The color of the CABOCHON and ribbed dangle bead is a Grape Purple - inside the Cabochon in a mystical scene of whitish snow that has a sparkle effect running through it almost like a snow globe - it is encased by a 1/4" brass setting where ornate and detailed pierced filigree was added to the front and back to project this unique cabochon to take center stage.

The ribbed horn shaped bead is so awesome - it has a translucence when the light runs through it and is held by a truly unique bead cap - running through the drop is chain and ribbed brass beads - the chain slides back and forth through the setting. Imagine the creativity that went into this drop.

Estate seller dated this to somewhere between 1890 - 1910 - chain looks like it was replaced maybe in the 1930'-1940's.

Just an extraordinary never seen before and probably never will again period piece.

Length:16" plus drop of 4" for a total length of 20"
Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
I FOUND THIS PIECE AT AN ESTATE SALE IN A HISTORIC DISTRICT (THE ENTIRE CITY WAS LITERALLY BUILT BY MILLIONAIRES IN THE 19TH CENTURY AS THEIR VACATION HOMES) The estate was in the family from the day it was built - A Gorgeous 20 room Victorian Mansion on a highly landscaped hill. Three generations of the same family lived there until the very last family member died in 2004 - she was 99 years old!

This item was one of her treasured pieces - the estate sellers showed me a couple of photo's where she was wearing it but they did not know why it was one of her favorites - it isn't gold or silver nor a sapphire, diamond or ruby but...it was totally unique and rare and that alone made me have to have it.

There were two photo's (they would not sell those to me as they were going to the historic department at the city library) one when she was in her teens to early 20's and another when she was middle aged around 40 - 50 - those photo's show what this necklace meant to her. Let's face it - the family was still wealthy she could have bought "ANYTHING" she wanted so the question is...why this piece?? Makes it all the more priceless!
