A rectangle base of transparent amber glass is fused over a layer of french vanilla and then accented with irregular shapes of vibrant orange, red and lime green glass.

This fused glass plate measures approximately 7 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches (12 x 18.5 cm). The back includes my signature and the year made in 24k gold pen.

My favorite step is looking at all the beautiful colors of glass to come up with my design. Once I finally decide, I cut and assemble the different colors of glass and fuse them in a kiln to approximately 1500 degrees. This fuses all the pieces together. Next I use a grinder with a diamond disc to shape the edges and I fire the piece again just enough to shine the ground edges. My last step involves one last firing where the glass is draped over a mold to give it the final shape.

All of my items are handmade in America in my Roswell, GA studio.
