Product Description
BRAND NEW CLAY WORK FROM ME! December 2011, hot from my kiln!

OK I let it cool off! This piece was made from porcelain clay. I pinched it into a nest shape and textured the outside lightly, then rubbed stains into the surface to resemble a real nest. I carefully rolled three little eggs and coated them with robin's egg blue underglaze. The piece was then bisque fired to make the first transition from clay to ceramic. Next I put glaze on the piece to provide a non-porous surface for food or other usage. The eggs are glazed into place. Then I fired the piece to maturity at cone 6. Absolutely One Of A Kind!

I was going to make it a hanging bird feeder, but I forgot :-0 to make holes for the wires, LOL, so you can sit it on the window sill for a close up view of your tiny bird friends, or use it just as a decorative item. It is about 3" in diameter. It would be a precious birdbath for chickadees!

Fill with treats or water for your feathered neighbors. Wash with soap now and then to keep it clean. Don't leave out to freeze in winter with water in it.

Includes US shipping. I will ship to many other countries - please ask for a quote prior to purchase. Thanks!
