Isn't it GORGEOUS? I just love the multitude of different color beads with all their different patterns on them. The effect reminds me of the antique beaded Zulu necklaces that I have that are from my grandmother's trip around the world in the 1930's--hence the name.

The bracelet is about 1 inch wide and approximately 7 inches long. The sliding bar clasp makes for a very balanced bracelet by allowing the weight to be evenly distributed. SO...you won't always end up with the clasp on top of your wrist! Cool!

I saw this bead mixture and had to have it. It wasn't until I got home that I made the connection with why I felt I needed it. Back in the 1930's my grandparents took a trip around the world and of course my grandmother shopped her way around the world! (Some things never change!) Exactly where she picked up her Zulu beaded necklaces, I honestly don't know. In fact, I didn't know that's what they were until I read the book "Zulu-Inspired Beadwork" last year. Then I realized what I treasure I really had! These beads reminded me of those necklaces, and this is my tribute to both my grandmother, and to the women who beaded them so very long ago. I hope it will bring great pleasure to its new owner!
