Recycle Copper garden row marker Lettuce Romaine Approx. 3 1/4 by 1 1/2 inch. ReCycled from old DWV copper pipe. I hacksaw the pipe into random lengths & slit it with snips. After that I head over to the anvil with a hammer and pound the sections of pipe flat. Next step is to get a fire going to anneal the copper for easier stamping. After annealing, the strips are cut into smaller pieces, a hole is punched in one end, and I go crazy with letter punches. its very relaxing hitting things with a hammer you know ;) These tags are then sanded to take off the big chunks, buffed with steel wool, then buffed on a sewn cloth wheel. Not really a mirror finish, but very shiny. A season out in the garden will usually take care of that. The Stake: repurposed 1/8 inch galvanized steel rod, about a foot long. my fonts: Big Letters are half inch tall, Small Letters are quarter inch smaller letters are 1/8 inch the green background in the pictures has half inch grid.
