The front of this folded card shows a sweet scene of a doe with her fawn. I used an airbrush to paint the original; this is an inkjet print about 4 x 6 inches (10 x 15 centimeters). The card itself is slightly larger. The inside is blank, ready for your own greeting or note, and an envelope is also included.

Printed on the back: "Doe and Fawn in my Backyard, a painting by Sandra Healy. I have many deer come through my yard; I took a photo of this pair from my kitchen door. They didn't bother to move away being quite used to seeing me. The original painting was done using an airbrush."

This card is inkjet printed on professional quality card stock from Red River Paper.

I very much enjoy the deer in my yard, especially the young ones in the summertime. The photo I took of these two was quite dark so it's fun to paint it brighter and more focussed on the pair.

Since I have used an airbrush for many years to paint my animal wood carvings, when I started painting that was naturally the tool I used. I gives the colors a softness which I enjoy. I spray through stencils which I have cut, to give harder edges.
